How long do massage and energy-work sessions last?
Sessions can last from 30 minutes to 120 minutes. Together, we will determine the best amount of time for your needs, as well as the frequency. I see some clients weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.
Descriptions of Services
Swedish Massage uses long, flowing strokes to relax the body and calm the nervous system. It increases circulation, flexibility, energy flow and releases tension. It promotes easier breathing.
Deep Tissue Massage identifies specific compromised muscles that contribute to an imbalance in posture, gait or mobility. It brings blood supply to the area, breaks up adhesions, and restores balance and integrity to the musculature.
Sports Massage uses specific techniques to flush metabolic wastes from the tissue that have built up from overuse or injury. This massage is useful whether you are preparing for a sporting event or just your routine workouts. It is also helpful if you perform a repetitive activity that stresses particular muscles as in holding a musical instrument or using a computer.
Reiki is an ancient healing art form that brings in universal energy through the practitioner's hands to your body. Your body uses what it needs to aid its own healing process. This modality is incorporated in all of my work.
Reflexology works on pressure points on the feet and hands that correspond to organs and glands in the body. As these reflexes are stimulated, a response is invoked in that structure. Your innate healing abilities are activated and a state of balance can be restored. Reflexology doesn't treat or diagnose, but works holistically to tune the body's defense system to fight illness.
Polarity Therapy uses an Ayurvedic approach to holistic health management. The energetic body includes the five elements: ether, air, fire, water and earth. Imbalances are determined in these elements through dialog and bodywork. The system can then be brought back into balance. Polarity incorporates nutrition, exercise and relaxation techniques.

"From our first session, it was easy to see that he is an extraordinarily gifted therapist and energy worker. I have scoliosis (s-curve) and a fused spine. The regular massages I receive from him help keep my aging infrastructure feeling fluid. His insights, as he works on my body, are profound and I’ve found them helpful. He does marvelous foot and neck work. I emerge from our sessions refreshed, positive and glowing." Judy O.
